Flags come down on I-75, back up for Election Day

Christian Cross will put the flags back up the weekend before Election Day

Northern Bureau Chief

TROY, Ohio —

Last Saturday morning Christian Cross of  Troy removed the 26 American Flags and the service flags he attached to the McKaig Road overpass chain link fence in commeneration of the 11th anniversary of Patriot's Day and the 9/eleven rememberance.

The Ohio Department of  Transportation was not happy with the flags, believing they could be a distraction to the motoring public and a safety issue.

While taking them down last Saturday, Cross said the flags will go back up the weekend before the November 6, 2012 election to remind people to vote.
