DAYTON —

Four persons were taken to local hospitals after a multi-vehicle crash on northbound I-75 just south of the Third Street exit area around 10:00am Saturday morning.

Dayton Police, in their preliminary investigation, told us they believe a car merging from U.S. Route 35 onto northbound I-75 clipped the rear corner of a semi-truck. It spun out and hit the concrete dividers. There was a possible third vehicle involved, a car, but no details were available.

Traffic was extremely slow-going northbound for more than an hour while adjustments were made to the concrete barriers.

It was not determined what if any citations will be issued.

The crash is still under investigation.
