Fugitives From Florida Arrested In Preble County

PREBLE COUNTY, Ohio —

Two armed and dangerous men were apprehended in West Alexandria Thursday.

Both men were wanted on multiple charges stemming from crimes they committed in Lake County, Florida, according to police.

Rodney L. Liams, 28, was located at 41 Elm Street in West Alexandria. He was wanted on several charges, including burglary with a firearm and grand theft.

Maurice Hartman, 27, was apprehended while walking in West Alexandria. Police believe he had been staying at the Deerfield Inn motel east of Eaton. Hartman was wanted on several charges, including felony battery by strangulation and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Both suspects are being held at the Preble County Jail pending extradition back to Florida.
