Suspects wanted in Greenville robbery

GREENVILLE, Ohio —

Police have released a description of a suspect who robbed a drive-thru in Greenville Tuesday night.

Fairgrounds Drive-Thru, 1207 Sweitzer St., was robbed at gunpoint, and police said the clerk was tied up during the robbery.

Police said the suspect is described as tall, between 6-foot and 6-foot-3-inches with a thin build. He was wearing a black hoodie that covered his entire head and face.

The hoodie, police said, was accented with white, described by the victim as a “spider pattern.” He was also wearing blue jeans.

It’s unclear whether the robbery at Fairgrounds Drive-Thru, 1207 Sweitzer St., is related to the previous two robberies. The robbery is the third since Oct. 25 in which a clerk was tied up.

“There are similarities with the three robbers but there also some differences,” said Chief Dennis Butts.

The most recent robbery happened Nov. 1 at Dane and Renee’s Beer and Wine Cellar around 8:15 p.m. In that robbery the first suspect was said to be a white male, approximately 5-foot-8 and the second suspect was believed to be a white male approximately 6-foot-3. During the Nov. 1 robbery both men were wearing masks.

Several days earlier on Oct. 25, police believe the same two suspects robbed The Flower Patch at gunpoint. During the Oct. 25 robbery the clerk was tied up after the suspects displayed a gun and demanded cash.
