Gunman Sought In Dayton Shooting

DAYTON, Ohio —

Police are looking for the person who shot and seriously wounded a dayton man Thursday night.

Investigators said John Dillard, 22, was shot behind an apartment in the 400 block of Winters Street.

According to police, Dillard walked to a friend’s apartment and was driven to Good Samaritan Hospital.

He suffered two gunshot wounds. Dillard was then taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.

Police said Dillard originally told them that he was shot on Oakridge Drive, but they later found evidence that the shooting had taken place on Winters Street.

Investigators said they believe Dillard may have been a victim of a robbery.
