XENIA, Ohio —

Emergency responders, school leaders and employees of Wright Patterson Air Force Base met Thursday to discuss preparations in the event of a Swine Flu outbreak in Greene County.

The meeting was called by the Greene County Health Commissioner. Mark McDonnell said Greene County has a lot of people who travel to other counties, so he wants everyone to be on the same page.

McDonnell told the group, "Nobody is immune to this disease. There are no vaccines for it."

The good news according to McDonnell, "There are no confirmed or probably cases in Greene County. We have no suspected cases in Greene County."

Tens of Thousands of people are associated with Wright Patterson Air Force base and countless others attend local colleges and universities. "Yes, we do have to be vigilant in Greene County, especially because of the travel in Greene County," said McDonnell.

The bottom line from the meeting: Greene County leaders said they believe they are ready to respond to any threat.
