MVH Announces New Outpatient Facility

DAYTON, Ohio —

The Dayton Daily News is reporting that Miami Valley Hospital will break ground next year on a 200,000 square-foot emergency room outpatient facility and medical office complex.

The new facility will be located on Wilmington Pike between Clyo Road and Interstate 675.

Hospital employees have just learned of the plan. Officials at MVH hope to open the $73 million project by 2007. They said it will be built on a 100-acre site that the hospital owns.

Officials said the complex will feature a full-service, 24-hour emergency care center, but no inpatient hospital beds.

MVH officials said the population increase in the southern suburbs means that there is a need for such services.
