TROY —

No one was home at the Wilbur residence, 3365 Eldean Road near Troy, when fire crews arrived to heavy smoke coming from a house

Just after noon Saturday, fire crews from Troy with mutual aid from Covington, responded to a report of smoke coming from the roof of the two-story home of the superintendent of Troy Christian Schools.

Crews were able to track the fire to the chimney, which had spread to the attic. Initial damage estimate was $70,000.

One victim of the fire was treated and released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
