A Milton-Union High School student lost control of her vehicle Saturday morning on Ohio 55 and ended up crashing head-on into a tree, deputies said.
Authorites said the juvenile driver was travelling eastbound on Ohio 55 near Ludlow Falls east of Kessler-Frederick Road after 7 a.m. when she spilled an iced tea in her vehicle while putting the cup into a cupholder. She lost control and slammed into the tree.
The teen was wearing a seat belt and the air bags in the vehicle deployed properly, allowing her to escape with only a cut lip.
Deputies said she was on her way to take an ACT test.
