HENRY COUNTY —

Indiana State Police seized 81.4 pounds of cocaine, worth close to $4 million on the street, found in a semi tractor-trailer Tuesday on Interstate 70 east.

According to the state patrol, a trooper made a routine Department of Transportation inspection stop at about 9:30 a.m. in Henry County, west of Wayne County in eastern Indiana.

When the driver, Mosies Delgado, 26, of Homestead, Fla., gave consent to search the vehicle, troopers found 20 bricks of cocaine weighing 1 kilo each in the cab of the truck and 17 more bricks in the trailer.

The trailer was loaded with lettuce that originated in California and was headed for New Jersey.

Delgado was arrested along with his passenger, Rene Rocha, 52, of Fontana, Calif.

Both men have been charged with possession of cocaine and possession with intent to deliver, both felonies. Bond was set at $69,000 for each man.

Deputies from the Henry and Wayne County sheriff’s departments assisted in the arrests, along with federal agents.
