Iams Building To Be Auctioned Off

VANDALIA, Ohio —

The Iams-Eukanuba building in Vandalia is going on the auction the block next month as the pet product manufacturers move to Mason.

The property will be sold through an online auction with bidding beginning at $900,000, according to a press release.

The property has an appraised tax value of $8.6 million, the news release states. Cincinnati-based consumer products giant Procter and Gamble, parent company of Iams, will shut the Vandalia operation on Oct. 24, said Jason Taylor a spokesperson for the company.

Iams 240 employees will move the P&G Business Center in Mason. The Poe Avenue property has two interconnected, four-story office buildings and includes 12 acres. Each building measures about 53,000 square feet.

Bidders can register at www.jll.com/auctions.

The relocation does not include the Iams pet food plant.
