Northern Bureau Chief

DARKE COUNTY, Ohio —

Darke County Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Mike Burrns showed some frustrations Thursday when talking with NewsCenter 7's Northern Bureau Chief Steve Baker about the increasing numbers of thefts from unlocked vehicles, unlocked outbuildings, homes and businesses in Darke Co. So far, said Det. Burns, in the past 30 days they have received nearly 50 theft complaints.

"If it's valuable," said Burns, "lock it up." "If you see and hear something suspicious call 911 immediately, don"t wait hours or days to report it."
