GREENVILLE, Ohio —

Officers working an undercover drug investigation called Operation Trick Or Treat said it was one of the largest drug roundups in recent memory.

On Tuesday, authorities in Darke County and three counties in Indiana concluded a seven-month undercover drug operation serving grand jury indictments on a variety of drug-related offenses.

Investigators said 31 individuals are facing 114 drug-related charges. In Indiana, 28 adults were taken into custody on 58 charges.

Along with authorities in Indiana, deputies from the Darke County Sheriff’s Department and officers from Greenville and Versailles were involved in the operation.

On Tuesday, 20 defendants made their initial court appearances in Darke County Common Pleas Court. Bonds were set and attorneys appointed to represent those who are indigent.

Authorities said three defendants were released on their own recognizance, where some had the bonds set as high as $50,000.
