Jaws Of Life Used In Rescue Effort

DAYTON, Ohio —

Authorities said emergency crews uses a jaws of life device to remove a driver from a pickup truck that crashed on southbound Interstate 75 near Route 35 on Friday night.

The accident happened around 9 p.m. Witnesses said the driver of the pickup truck may have passed his exit and tried to get over too late, hitting a cement barricade.

Firefighters removed him from the wreckage and medics took him to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
