Kettering Verizon store hit for 2nd time in a week

KETTERING —

Burglars targeted the Verizon Wireless store on Far Hills Avenue early Thursday morning and it’s the second time the store has been broken into in a week.

The store, 3008 Far Hills Ave., was targeted last Friday morning, when two people broke in and stole approximately $4,500 worth of cell phones from inside the business.

The owner said the store has only been open for six weeks.

This morning, two people wearing hoodies threw a rock through the windows of the store around 2:00 a.m., according to reports. The suspects were not able to take anything from the business, according to the store’s owner. Surveillance video captured the alleged burglars and showed them breaking into the store and attempting to kick in an office door.

The suspects were reportedly in and out of the business in around 20 seconds, according to reports.

Kettering Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
