Late-Night Fire Damages Franklin Pool Hall

FRANKLIN, Ohio —

Investigators in Franklin said about 50 firefighters battled a fire that caused a lot of damage.

The fire happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Fire officials said that when firefighters arrived, they saw flames shooting from the roof of the Palace Billiards Hall.

Investigators said the structure suffered heavy damage. They are looking into who wrote a profane message on the door of the building.

Police are now trying to see if the words written on the door are related to the fire. Investigators have not ruled out arson.

Firefighters were forced to work in shifts due to the heat and humidity.
