Staff Report

DAYTON —

One person was injured Wednesday evening when the pickup truck he was driving was hit broadside and flipped onto its top on Cambridge Avenue.

The truck driver, whose name was not given by Dayton police, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital suffering from minor injuries from the accident that occurred at about 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of North Broadway Street.

According to a police officer at the scene, who declined to be interviewed on camera by whiotv.com, a subcompact Nissan headed east on Cambridge T-boned the Chevrolet pickup in just the right spot to roll it onto its top.

The woman who was driving the car told police she didn’t see the truck, which was headed north on Broadway, according to police.

She was not injured, but will be cited for failure to yield, according to the officer at the scene.

The collision shut down the intersection for about an hour.
