One person suffered minor injuries Friday night when a 2005 green Acura minivan that person was driving was clipped by an SUV at State Routes 571 and 201, east of the city.

According to the preliminary investigation by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, a 2003 Chrysler SUV, driven by Carnisha Cunningham, 36 of Dayton, was headed north on 201. Cunningham pulled away from an intersection and hit the passing minivan headed west on 571.

Cunningham was not injured. She will be charged with failure to yield the right of way and driving under a suspended license, according to the sheriff’s office.

The driver of the minivan was taken to a hospital.

Both drivers were alone and the name of the minivan driver has not been released as of yet.

The crash is still under investigation.
