19-year-old struck, killed by train in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Ohio —

Police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old man, after officers said a train struck and killed him on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened around 4:30 p.m.  in the 2100-block of South South Street, between Clinton Builder Supply and Wilmington Iron and Metal, said Sgt. Robert Houghton with the Wilmington Police Department.

A name of the victim has not been released.
