HUBER HEIGHTS —
Police in Huber Heights are trying to find a man who went on a mini crime spree overnight.
Officers said the man used a gun to rob two convenience stores that are about a mile apart on Brandt Pike.
The first store that was robbed was the United Dairy Farmers at the intersection of Brandt Pike and Taylorsville Road around 10:30 p.m.
Sgt. Chris Kash said, "A white male wearing a black leather jacket walked in asking questions. He then displayed a black handgun and asked for the money in the cash register."
The clerk cooperated and handed over the money and the robber fled the scene.
A K-9 dog was brought in to help locate the robber but he was never found.
Police said three hours later a man, matching the same description, robbed the Speedway store on Brandt Pike and Chambersburg Road.
Officers said they believe the same man committed both robberies.
If you have any information about these robberies, contact Huber Heights police at 233-2080.
