Three men were arrested after police witnessed an assault at a Wayne Avenue home.

The men visited the victim at the home that was not his, and one threw a punch at him. The three suspects took off running, and police already near the home were able to chase them.

The chase lasted about half of a block, according to Sgt. Moe Perez of the Dayton Police Department.

Quinton Maston, one of the suspects, had a falsification warrant. He is also charged with felonious assault of a police officer. The officer is OK, Perez said.

Mikeial Smedley was arrested for suspicion of obstructing official business, assault and resisting arrest.

Prince Mosely, who is suspected of throwing the punch at the man, was arrested for assault.

Misdemeanor assault charges are likely against all three, Perez said.
