At least 3 arrested in St. Paris pot bust

By Staff Staff

ST. PARIS —

St. Paris police officers arrested at least three individuals Friday after discovering a marijuana-growing operation in a residence in the 200 block of Lawn Avenue.

Four people were taken into custody, and three are expected to be booked into the Tri-County Jail. Their names were not available early Friday evening.

Officers executed a search warrant at the residence early Friday morning after receiving complaints from neighbors of suspicious traffic in the area, said Robert McConnell, of the St. Paris Police Department. Marijuana, along with the equipment needed to grow it, was discovered in a garage at the home. Authorities described the equipment as a medium-sized growing operation.

Officers from the Wright Patterson Air Force Base were also called to the scene to detonate a grenade that was found outside the residence, according to authorities. No additional information was available Friday evening.
