Advocacy program director charged with felony theft

RICHMOND, Ind. —

The ex-director of JACY House in Richmond, Ind. was arrested this week on theft charges.

Police said Tamrya Pressnall, 44, of Greenville, is the former leader of the children’s justice and advocacy program and she faces 12 counts of felony theft. An investigation began in March after the JACY staff found charges on a bank statement they felt were suspicious.

The Wayne County, Ind. prosecutor was contacted.

Pressnall was relieves of her duties at the JACY House when the investigation was launched. Preliminary investigation found she allegedly made unauthorized purchases in Indiana and Ohio using accounts of the program. Purchases were less than $5,000.

Pressnall was arrested and taken to Warren County Jail. her bond was set at $7,500.
