Ann Romney stumps for the women’s vote

Staff Report

FINDLAY, Hancock County —

“He’s going to work harder than anyone else. he’s going to work to get this right,” Ann Romney, wife of the Republican presidential candidate, told News Center 7 in an exclusive interview Wednesday.

The spouse of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was in Findlay, on the stump, for her spouse. Her visit was her second campaign appearance in Ohio since her husband was made his party’s nominee last week in Florida.

An estimated 800 to 1,000 people gathered at the University of Findlay’s Winebrenner Auditorium to hear her speak at a Women for Mitt rally.

She said women need her husband’s expertise to create more jobs and jobs that pay better.

“Women are doing more than men, and i mean we love men, but we also know that women work harder. they are raising their kids and they’re having their jobs and doing all these things and are really really stretched thin right now, and things are tough. A lot of women have been hurt more than men have been,” she told Lee.

When it comes to women voters in Ohio, Gov. Romney is trailing President Obama by double digits, according to the latest polling data. Mrs. Romney said she hopes more women will see who her husband really is — just like the women who attended Wednesday’s event.

“He’s got solutions, he’s got answers. And for Ohioans, they can know and have all the confidence in the world that this guy does not fail,” Mrs. Romney said.
