Area checkpoint, patrols to combat drunken driving

By Staff Staff

MONTGOMERY COUNTY —

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the county’s Combined Agency O.V.I. Task Force will be working this week to combat drunken driving.

Deputies and officers will work together for a roadside check of drivers for alcohol impairment, drug impairment and safety belt restraint use.

In addition to the checkpoint, local law enforcement agencies are participating in saturation patrol efforts to deter and apprehend impaired drivers.

The OVI checkpoint location will be announced Wednesday, according to a release.
