RIVERSIDE —

An armed robber held up the Pizza Hut, 4211 Linden Ave., on Monday night and police have issued an alert to area law enforcement.

The robber entered the restaurant, pointed what employees said they believed was a handgun and asked for money, Officer Michael Brewer said.

The employees said the robber took off when they told him they couldn’t get in the cash drawer, the officer said.

No one was injured and no shots were fired. The incident occurred at about 9:50 p.m.

The robber was described as being in his 30s, about 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds, Brewer said.
