Ohio AG asking for help to find sex offender

Staff Report

DAYTON, Ohio —

The public is being asked to help find wanted sex offender, James Gayhart, 42, of Dayton who recently stopped providing his address to authorities.

Ohio Attorney General  Mike DeWine is asking the public to look out for Gayhart who is described as 5 feet 10 inches, 160 pounds  with brown hair and eyes. Gayhart could be driving a 1995 purple Chevrolet S10 with Ohio plates. He last listed his address  167 Church St.

There was a warrant issued last month when Gayhart failed to turn in his latest address. Gayhart was incarcerated at London Correctional Institution for six years following his guilty verdict on four counts of rape of a juvenile in 1995, according to a press release issued by the Ohio Attorney General's office.

Anyone who knows where Gayhart could be should contact the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation at 855-224-6446.
