A Riverside High School band director indicted on 12 felony sex charges pleaded not guilty in Logan County Court of Common Pleas this morning.

The indictments for Tim Shook, 34, were handed down Tuesday morning. Shook is the band director for the high and middle schools.

He was indicted for one count of rape, five counts of sexual battery and one count of attempted sexual battery.

Shook is suspected of having inappropriate relationships with students, and law enforcement officials believe not all victims have come forward. He has been on administrative leave since the investigation began, according to reports.

Court documents state Shook allegedly made sexual contact with the victims in multiple places, including in various areas of the school building and at his home.

“This case was peer-reviewed twice before we sent it to the grand jury and we feel reasonably confident that we have made the right choice,” said Prosecuting Attorney William T. Goslee. “He is entitled to due process.”

“Because of his relationship with a number of students,and access to a large student body, it is not impossible for other people to be involved.”
