Bath salts made illegal across the country

On Monday, the state of Ohio made bath salts illegal in the state. On Friday, they were made illegal across the United States.

The DEA issued an emergency order, making it against the law to possess or sell bath salts anywhere in the country.

Bath salts are now considered one of the most restricted controlled substances like other illegal drugs.

The DEA said bath salts present a public safety risk and their effects mimic LSD and cocaine.

The ban is in place for one year and could be extended.
