DAYTON —
A woman hopes the information she gave police about the people she suspects fired shots at her home on two occasions Tuesday night can help land the attackers in jail.
Danielle Pinson said that about an hour or two after a group of people roughed up her daughter and took her purse a few blocks from their home on Kammer Avenue, another group of people walked up and one of them fired a gun at her front porch.
The group with the gun had gotten out of several vehicles that had pulled up in front of her home, Pinson told News Center 7’s Mark Bruce on Wednesday. The group also busted out windows at her home, using bricks they found in her yard and a neighbor’s yard.
“I could barely sleep last night because it’s so uncomfortable and unsafe knowing if somebody is going to walk up and shoot or bust your windows out,” said Pinson, who lives with her teenaged daughter and a 2-year-old.
Pinson called police, who investigated and left. Then, she said, as her daughter was trying to board up one of the broken windows, a big entourage approached the house. It was the same group. They opened fire again, and several of the 11 bullets pierced the walls, Pinson said.
“Now a days, a lot of these kids haven't been taught no different. I don't know, I guess they need to learn a lesson,” Pinson said.
