Business donates $100,000 for hangar gallery

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE —

ATK has donated $100,000 to build a new hangar gallery at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.

The donation brings the total amount raised to $38.7 million for a new $48.7 million gallery to showcase space flight, presidential and cargo aircraft, according to the Air Force Museum Foundation Inc.

Construction is scheduled to begin this fall, said Lin Erickson, a foundation spokeswoman. The new 224,000-square-foot gallery would open in 2015, according to the foundation.

ATK is an aerospace, defense and commercial products company with operations in the United States and overseas.
