Butler Co. man charged in stabbing

NEWARK, Delaware —

Delaware State Police say a Butler County man has been charged with stabbing four bar employees.

State Police say the four were trying to get a customer to leave the bar at closing time early Sunday morning when 46-year-old Clifford Perry became involved in the dispute. State Police say Perry was arrested by a trooper arriving at the scene who observed him running across the parking lot of the Tailgates Bar in the Harmony Plaza Shopping Center.

State Police say the four bar employees were treated and released from Christiana Hospital for stab wounds that were not considered life threatening. Perry was charged with four counts of assault and possession of a deadly weapon. The Trenton, Ohio man was ordered held after failing to post $100,000 in bail.
