Car, train collide in Warren County

Staff Report

CARLISLE, Ohio —

Authorities said no one was injured when a CSX freight train crashed into a car on the tracks at Martz-Paulin Road early Saturday morning.

The mother of the driver told News Center 7 that the car stalled on the tracks. She said her son and his two friends were able to get out before the train came.

The train dragged the car about 200 yards before stopping, deputies said.

The driver's mother said that her son was being taken into custody. It was not clear why, since Warren County deputies are not yet commenting.
