Staff Report

SIDNEY, Ohio —

Three children were rescued Sunday afternoon after heavy rains fell on Tawawa Park.

A man and his three small children were trying to leave the park during the rainfall. The road was covered in water. Police said the man became confused and ended up driving into a canal that feeds the park lake.

People at the park joined forces, and rescued the three children. Officers said everyone was out when they arrived. No one was hurt.

Police called a tow truck, which pulled the vehicle out of the water.  The family got back inside, and drove away.
