Crash results in drug bust in Miami Co.

Miami County deputies said they recovered nearly two pounds of suspected marijuana from the wreckage of a vehilce Monday afternoon at the intersection of State Route 48 and Fenner Road near Pleasant Hill.

Detectives  followed up with the execution of a search warrant on a home on Iddings Road near West Milton. There, detectives said they seized another 5 pounds of marijuana, nearly $5,500 in cash, a scales and a money counter. The search warrant was served while the driver of the car remained hospitalized.

Charges are tto be filed.
