Coyote's Pub and Grub damaged in fire

Emergency crews responded to a Miami Township restaurant and bar after a fire was reported Monday morning  at the business, which is located on Springboro Pike.

Heavy smoke was reported around 7:45 a.m. at  Coyote's Pub and Grub. Upon arrival, fire crews found a working fire in the rear of the building, said Miami Twp. fire Chief Matthew Queen.

No one was injured in the fire, and the business was closed at the time the fire broke out, Queen said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

A bartender who works at Coyote's said she told management that when she arrived to work Sunday afternoon, there was no power in the building, and she managed to turn it on.

Queen said, "It will probably take most of the day to determine what started this and that means it will be awhile before the place gets to reopen."

Firefighters from Kettering and Moraine provided mutual aid.
