Staff Report
ENGLEWOOD, Ohio —
The Perkins restaurant in Englewood will be closed for the remainder of the day after smoke filled the restaurant.
Around 6 a.m. firefighters responded to Perkins, 1235 South Main St., on the report of a possible structure fire. Crews determined a faulty furnace caused the smoke, and the furnace was shut down, according to reports.
Just before 9:30 a.m., restaurant employees again called 911 when smoke started coming out of the furnace. Those on the scene reported smoke coming from the roof of the restaurant.
No one was hurt, and the restaurant will be closed for the remainder of the day due to water damage.
