DAYTON, Ohio —

Bullets pierced homes for the third time in less than a week on the city's west side.

A 20-year-old woman on Strawberry Row reported the latest incident shortly after 5 a.m. Friday morning, according to Dayton police records. The woman told police she left home around 1 a.m. and returned about four hours later to find that her house had been shot at.

Police said officers found evidence of five rounds that struck the house, including three bullets that passed through a bedroom wall, a bathroom and into a hallway.

No bullet casings were recovered and there are no suspects or witnesses in the incident, according to records.

In less than a week and within a mile radius from Strawberry Row, at least two other homes were also recently shot at.

On Tuesday night a mother on Kammer Avenue reported that a group of people twice targeted her house with gunfire, the first prompted police to respond then it happened again after police left the scene, according to police records.

Early Sunday morning, a mother on Hoover Avenue reported that she and her children were awoken by gunfire striking their house, one bullet shattering the sliding glass door.

No one has been injured in the incidents, which remain under investigation.
