Deputies looking for couple suspected in thefts

WASHINGTON TWP., Montgomery County —

A black male and white female are being sought as suspects in thefts Wednesday evening from a Frickers restaurant and an Adventure Golf miniature course.

Montgomery County sheriff's deputies received calls about a theft from a Frickers, 1383 Miamisburg Centerville Road, at 7:12 p.m. and from the Adventure Golf, 615 Miamisburg Centerville Road, at 7:50 p.m., according to county's regional dispatch center. 

Sheriff's Sgt. David Milburn said the couple walked into the establishments asking for change. The clerk opened the register and the couple would reach in and snatch cash from the register drawer. According to Milburn, $50 was taken at the restaurant and $100 was stolen from the second establishment.

The manager at the Frickers, who would not give her name, said the thieves were "quick-change artists" but would not elborate on what happened. 

"Hopefully, someone has a camera with the car," Milburn said. Investigators also hope to look surveillance video.
