Domestic dispute leads to crash on I-75

DAYTON, Ohio —

A minivan ended up on its side in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 after a domestic dispute inside the vehicle, police said.

The crash happened around 12:15 a.m. near the I-75 and U.S. 35 interchange.  The van was travelling down the highway when the passenger grabbed the steering wheel causing the vehicle to overturn, Sgt. David Castor said.

One person suffered a minor hand injury and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Several lanes of traffic leading from the ramp from U.S. 35 eastbound to I-75 northbound remained closed while crews cleaned up the debris and removed the vehicle.

The crash and dispute remain under investigation.
