Staff Report

DAYTON, Ohio —

Dayton police said they believe an argument between two male acquaintances led to both men being stabbed in the chest at an apartment building Wednesday evening.

Officers were dispatched to the building at Clement Avenue and West Stewart Street at about 7 p.m. for one person that had possibly been stabbed with a box cutter.

When police and rescue crews arrived, they found two men suffering from stab wounds to the chest. One man’s injuries are considered life-threatening, while the other was reportedly in serious condition, police told News Center 7's Layron Livingston.

Police have a crime scene marked off that extends from inside an apartment to the area outside the building.

Police said they have not recovered any weapons.
