DAYTON, Ohio —
A band’s singer was arrested after a Dayton police officer said she punched him when he found her drunk in a downtown parking lot early Saturday morning.
Nicole Conners, 25, was arrested for assault when she punched a police officer who found her after her band mate and boyfriend reported her missing, Dayton police said.
Donald Canfield called police at about 2 a.m. after the band he and Conners are members in finished a performance near the Aquarius nightclub. He also told officers Conners was drunk and disappeared while the band was packing up their gear, police said
Officers and Conners’ friends searched several blocks of downtown for her, and when an officer found her in an empty parking lot on South Main Street, she shouted an obscenity at the officer and punched him once on his nose and mouth, police said.
Conners was arrested in booked in the Montgomery County Jail.
