WASHINGTON TWP. —

The sound of gun shots and the sight of a smoke plume brought police and fire crews from Washington Twp. to 1260 Rahn Road on Thursday afternoon.

Police told News Center 7 a shed in the back yard was used to store ammunition. It caught fire and ignited some of the shells.

Fire crews put out the fire. There was no report of any injuries. The residents were not at home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
