Fallen tree closes Sugarcreek intersection

SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP —

A driver on Upper Bellbrook road was transported to a local hospital after a tree fell on his vehicle.

Sugarcreek Township fire crews were dispatched to the intersection of Indian Ripple Road and Upper Bellbrook Road on a report of a crash between a car and a tree. The crash was caused by a tree falling on top of the car on the roadway, according to authorities.

The unidentified driver, who is expected to survive, was a male in his late teens.

Crews closed the intersection while the tree was cut up and removed.

The crash is currently under investigation.
