Faulty boiler steam triggers sprinkler heads

DAYTON —

A faulty temperature regulator on a boiler caused the overhead sprinkler heads to activate Sunday morning around 10:00am at the DuPont building at 1515 Nicholas Road in Dayton.

WHIO TV learned that fire alarms were triggered on the second floor laboratory and that there was a possible hazard issue, but the Dayton Fire Department confirmed that there was no hazard issue and no one was in the building at the time of the alarm.

Crews investigated electrical systems and were able to locate the cause.
