Beavercreek fire victim remains critical

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio —

The Ohio Fire Marshal’s Office is still trying to determine the cause of a fire that sent an elderly man to a local hospital Wednesday.

Investigators said the fire started in a garage  that was attached to a house at 1968 Winterglen Court. Nothing has been found that indicates the fire was set intentionally, the State Fire Marshal’s Office said.

The 88-year-old man who lives in the house was taken to an a local hospital in critical condition, where he is listed in critical condition. His wife was not home when the flames broke out, investigators said.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office and Beavercreek Fire Department are handling the investigation.
