Cold front hits the Miami Valley today; 50s possible by next weekend

MIAMI VALLEY —

A cold front is intersecting our area Sunday afternoon. A southwesterly flow is helping to get temperatures into the mid and even upper 30s in a few spots. Temperatures will start to fall after the cold front passes, temperatures should fall into the upper 20s by the evening. Winds will be around 15-20mph even after the front passes and wind chills will be in the 20s this afternoon with the teens through the evening. A stray flurry is possible with this front but accumulations should be light if any.

Sunday evening, clouds will begin to break up through the evening with temperatures falling through the 20s. Wind chills will be in the middle teens. Lows overnight fall into the upper teens with clearing skies.

Monday, Sunny skies and seasonable temperatures should be expected all day. Highs in the mid 30s.

Tuesday and Wednesday, nicer weather is expected with temperatures gradually climbing above average. Expect highs around 40 on Tuesday, in the 40s Wednesday and close to 50 on Thursday.

Rain will arrive Thursday afternoon and evening. Left-over showers are possible for Friday morning, but temperatures will stay unseasonably mild. Highs on Friday will be in the 50s.
