Two persons were injured and are being treated from trying to put out a garage fire at 2108 Reardon Drive Sunday afternoon.

News Center 7 spoke with Kettering Fire Department Shift Commander Ed Yike confirming around 2:30pm, fire crews were dispatched to a report of a garage fire which may be spreading to the main structure. Upon arrival, the garage was fully engulfed and had spread to the back porch of the house. The fire was also effecting the garage to the south of the residence due to its proximity.

News Center 7 spoke with neighbors who said they heard explosions from the area prior to the fire.

The fire was put out around 3:00pm, but crews continued to search for hot spots.

Investigators were called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire. No damage estimates has been established.
