A man lost his leg after crashing his motorcycle into a pickup truck on Ohio 41 near Eldean Road between Troy and Covington late Saturday evening.

Miami County deputies identified the victim as 34-year-old Tristan Black, of Greenville.

Deputies said the motorcycle appeared to be driving left of center around a curve, when the driver drove the motorcycle into the drivers-side door of the pickup.

Black was transported aboard CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

The woman driver, Jamie Kelly, 33, of Covington and male passenger of the pickup truck, Rusty Gas, 28, of Covington were not injured.

First reports of the accident came in a little after 11 p.m.  The Miami County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.

Ohio 41 was closed down while deputies investigated the wreck.
