House in Dayton hit by gunfire

Staff Report

DAYTON —

Police are hoping a neighbor’s security camera recorded the source of gunfire that strafed a home early Monday.

A man and woman told police they were asleep when they heard several shots outside their residence in the 300 block of Roxbury Road, according to a Dayton police report filed Monday.

They were not injured in the incident that occurred at about 3:30 a.m., but one slug made its way into a kitchen wall.

Police recovered at least seven shell casings from the street, according to the report.
